Ladyslipper Trail

As beautiful as its namesake, the Ladyslipper Orchid, this trail offers a moderately challenging afternoon hike in a mostly shaded environment.
To get there turn off Lakeview-Arrow Creek Rd onto Foster Rd and continue along the FSR for a half hour until you see the marked trailhead on your left. There is decent space for parking but make sure to be off the road.
It begins as a well-forested trail that ambles up the side of Goat Mountain. The summit is the goal – a lush and mossy mountaintop meadow nestled between swaying conifers. If you’re looking for a view, head down to the right just a few meters before the summit.
